The Flyover Show in Birmingham, UK.

Peace good folks.

Been in Birmingham, U.K for about a week in preparation for a show I am especially proud to be a part of. With a lineup that reads like the who's who's of progressive black art in the the Diaspora, featuring the likes of great dub poet Linton Kwesi Johnson, theatre director/writer/performer of mind blowing hip hop theatre Jonzi D, reggae/soul singer Natty, New York hip hop band Spokinn Movement, world acclaimed Nigerian m.c TY, grime rapper Bashy, yours truly Tumi and the man who conceaved of the idea, the U.K award winning jazz/hip hop innovator Soweto Kinch

What the flyover is, is a showcase of not just artistic expression but positive community action. Set beneath the neglected Hockley flyover in Birmingham this Show is about reclaiming abandoned spaces, transforming them into outstanding arenas of creative opportunity and expression, and restoring the soul of the city. I will get nuff pics, comments and highlights of the show.....
